2011 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project: Nov. 6 - 11
Habitat will be hosting the annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project in the epicentre of the quake in Léogāne to rebuild a community for 500 families. Hosting the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Haiti will bring renewed focus and funds to the massive rebuilding efforts that will take years to complete.
From November 6-11, 2011 world leaders and celebrities will come together to support the building of a community that will house 500 homes. This year's project will kick off construction of the Santo Community by building the first 100 houses with a group of dedicated and passionate volunteers.

Habitat's Work in Haiti
Habitat International has worked in Haiti for over 25 years and is currently implementing a collaborative, multi-year, multi-strategy approach that moves families to permanent shelter using emergency, transition and reconstruction solutions for those affected by the earthquake.
Habitat Canada recently begun a 1-year project in partnership with CIDA in the Simon Pelé region to support the global effort. The project is focused on both structural and social regeneration that will enable significant neighbourhood revival, improved health, and empowerment of the community.
