Stewart Hardacre President and CEO
Stewart Hardacre, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Habitat for Humanity Canada (HFHC), joined the organization in May 2008 as its first Chief Operations Officer(COO). In January 2009, Mr. Hardacre was appointed President and COO due to his exemplary leadership experience and commitment to improving the living standards for others. In 2010, he was promoted to CEO of HFHC.ng. / MBA
Prior to joining Habitat for Humanity Canada, Mr. Hardacre was Executive Director of McMillan LLP, a prominent business law firm and previously as the Canadian Director of Finance & Administration to Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a global human resource consultancy. Mr. Hardacre’s success as a business professional is reflected in his notable management background and extensive experience in the professional services industry. He brings over twenty years of leadership experience to Habitat for Humanity Canada.
Mr. Hardacre is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with a keen interest in developing his management skill set. He has pursued professional development and leadership programs at the Harvard School of Business and Queen’s University.
An active and passionate volunteer with Habitat for Humanity before he joined the organization full-time, Mr. Hardacre had served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Halton (Ontario) from 2006-2008, as well as participating on a volunteer HFHC/Global trips to South America and Africa, where he constructed homes with local residents.
