and its members take immense pleasure in giving back to our local communities.
We share Habitat for Humanity Canada’s vision, and being able to rally around a

"Every day we provide shelter
to our guests. This new partnership is a way of extending our commitment by
providing a welcoming and safe environment to those who need it most. Habitat
for Humanity means so much to all of us at Delta, and we could not have found a
more fitting partner who shares our values and does such meaningful work in
building stronger communities."
Hank Stackhouse, President and CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts
One year after Delta Hotels and Resorts began working with Habitat for
Humanity Canada, their national charitable partner, they stepped-up
their overall commitment to Habitat and other causes by launching their
Good Neighbours Challenge. The campaign set the ambitious goals of
raising $1-million and donating 10,000 volunteer hours to support their
charitable partners from coast to coast.

"By partnering with Habitat
for Humanity Canada, we’ve been able to effectively engage the public in a discussion around the need for affordable, healthy housing and homeownership in Canada. We’ve been able to motivate individuals of all ages to get involved and
generated invaluable goodwill for Habitat and for our organization.”
Peter Vukanovich, President and CEO, Genworth Financial Canada
For many Canadians, it’s not easy to answer the question, "What do you
love most about your home?"
In fact, 1.3 million Canadian families are in need of decent, affordable
housing right now.
In response to this Candian housing crisis, mortgage insurance provider
Genworth Financial Canada is lending its voice, volunteer resources and
financial assistance to a new program with Habitat for Humanity Canada
(HFHC), called "The Path to Home.”

"In an age where Corporate Social
Responsibility is an expected business practice, rather than a rarity, it is
important for Canada’s businesses to look more closely what it means to "give”
in this environment… Holcim has paid a lot of attention to improving
environmental performance and community relations in recent years, and our
involvement with the HFHC 360 Built Smart Partnership will allow us to continue
to do that going forward."
Paul Ostrander, CEO, Holcim Canada Inc.
No longer does corporate giving involve an arm's-length financial
donation that gets logged in the books as another transaction and
nothing more. Today, companies are creating partnerships that have a
multi-layered benefit that extends beyond the handing over of money.

"Every year, our
employees are on build sites helping to create new homes for people in need in
their local communities. Their enthusiasm for these events permeates our entire
organization. We deeply appreciate this opportunity to give back to the
communities that have helped our business thrive."
