Work History


Keith graduated from Mc Master University in 1974, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, he joined DuPont of Canada, where he worked as an Equipment Buyer and a Process Engineer. He started working for Ontario Hydro in 1978, at their Bruce Heavy Water Plant, where he held a variety of positions including process control, scheduling, production supervision, licencing, and training.
In 1992, Keith transferred to the Nuclear Waste Management Division of Ontario Hydro, which eventually became Ontario Power Generation. In April 2009, Keith retired as Vice-President of the Nuclear Waste Management Division, where Keith and his staff were responsible for the construction and operation of all facilities for the storage and disposal of nuclear waste. With a staff of 314 people, operating in four different locations, they managed the nuclear waste from 20 nuclear reactors in Ontario.

Habitat History

Keith first became involved in Habitat for Humanity in 2000, when the Grey Bruce Affiliate was assembling a team to construct a house in Port Elgin. Keith volunteered to chair the family selection committee for that build. He joined the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce in the fall of 2002 and served on that Board until December 2007, and again from January 2009 to present. In May 2007, Keith was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Canada, where he continues to serve today. Keith has actively participated in Habitat builds in Port Elgin, Inverhuron, Owen Sound, Wiarton, Thailand, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Family Ties

Keith and his wife Maureen have been married for 40 years, and reside in Southampton, Ontario in a timber-frame home that they built themselves. They have two adult sons.
