$6.39 Million Raised in Support of Habitat
Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating Gala Another Milestone Towards Reaching 2011 Goal
Over 330 industry members and guests attended the elegant 2010 CIPH Gala event, which featured an exquisite meal, charity auction and entertainment by Comedian Ron James. Charity Committee Chairman John Hammill (Moen) was very pleased to report that his committee is well on their way to reaching the committed goal of $1.75 million by the end of 2011 – with $1,290,238 pledged by CIPH members to date, thanks in large part to the annual Gala. This amount will bring the total donated to Habitat for Humanity Canada since 1994 to over $6.39 million.

Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) Also Supporting CIPH's Habitat for Humanity Fundraising Campaign
Also during the Gala evening a special announcement was made that the Board of the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute (HRAI) has agreed to support CIPH's Habitat for Humanity Fundraising Campaign during 2010/2011. By forming this cooperative partnership both associations will work together to help eliminate poverty housing in Canada.
CIPH Building Hope Trophy Winner
The CIPH Building Hope Trophy is awarded each year to the CIPH member company that plans and executes the most creative fundraising idea during the CIPH HFH Week. The 2009 trophy was presented to Peter Olierook of Don Park LP. Start making your plans now for the 2010 CIPH HFH Week which is being held September 12-18th.

CIPH has committed to raise $1.75 million for HFHC by 2011, and since 1994 CIPH
has donated $6.39 million to Habitat in Canada.

Seventh CIPH Home Build Starting in June
Thanks to members' generous cash donations CIPH will sponsor the seventh CIPH Home Build in Newfoundland. The sod turning ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 30th during CIPH's Annual Business Conference in St. John's, Newfoundland.
