It's been a great year, so far. Habitat for Humanity Canada, volunteers and companies like Genworth Canada have worked alongside 150 families and helped build 150 homes in a single week this summer! These homes will provide families with the strength, stability and independence that they would not have achieved without donor support. ...but there's still work to be done. Habitat for Humanity Canada and Genworth Canada are both working with Canadian families to build a sense of home. Habitat Canada and Genworth Canada know that safe, decent and affordable homeownership plays an absolutely critical role in helping families to create a new cycle, one filled with possibilities and progress. Affordable homeownership frees families and fosters the skills and confidence they need to invest in themselves and their communities. We plan to empower and partner with an additional 100 working low-income families to access an affordable mortgage by the end of this year. We're also working to help 375 families annually by the year 2020. These are ambitious goals that we can't do alone. We need your help!

Make A Difference Today

every donor can make a difference With your support, Habitat Canada can empower working low-income families to overcome barriers and build better, healthier and more financially stable lives. Habitat Canada does not give away free homes. Families pay an interest-free mortgage geared to their income and volunteer 500 hours with Habitat Canada. As a Habitat homeowner pays their mortgage, the funds are reinvested to build more homes locally.
Genworth Canada will add $150 to your donation.* Since 2000, Genworth Canada and Habitat for Humanity Canada have partnered to help make home mean something very special to families across Canada. Together, we can have an impact on the  housing crisis in the Indigenous community.

To date, Habitat Canada has helped 166 Indigenous families access affordable homeownership, including 38 on First Nations, Métis settlements and reserves.

This year, we are partnering with 35 Indigenous families, starting over 35 new homes across all provinces and territories. By 2020, our vision is to help a total of 250 Indigenous families through affordable homeownership.

Your donation is an investment that keeps on giving and growing in value for Indigenous families across Canada.
