Habitat for Humanity homeowners are happier, healthier, more confident and more financially secure in their new homes. These are some of the reasons why this summer, from July 9-14, we’re building 150 homes with 150 families in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary. Share YOUR reason to build using #150ReasonstoBuild

What is the 2017 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project?

This summer, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will be in Canada for Habitat for Humanity’s 34th Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project. The goal? To help build 150 homes for Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation – Habitat Canada’s biggest build project ever!

Everyone in Canada has the right to a safe, affordable and decent place to live. By volunteering your time or donating to the Carter Work Project, you can help build a more caring Canada – where neighbours help neighbours build homes that provide a safe and affordable foundation for a better life.

The Carters will be focusing their efforts in Edmonton and Winnipeg, but the Carter Work Project will be a Canada-wide effort, with over 50 communities in every province and territory helping us reach our goal of building 150 homes. Click here for a list of all the participating local Habitats.
